It's a do-or-die mentality now for Dak Prescott entering his 10th NFL season. We've talked about how Super Bowls are the main reason why people grow to love this game, and that's all Prescott cares about from now until the end of his career.
The Cowboys QB1 has been ridiculed for so many years, but he's always kept his head up, even in the worst times. Sometimes, the biggest haters haven't even been rival fans. They've been his own. But Prescott knows what he's up against. He already knew the goal once he signed up to be the starting quarterback 10 years ago.
Here's what he told media members about his "Super Bowl or bust" mentality (h/t Jon Machota).
"That's always been my mindset. It's the one thing I truly love about the Cowboys organization and the fanbase, it's (Super Bowl) or nothing."

This is exactly what it's like to be QB1 of the Dallas Cowboys. Especially when a fanbase has been hungry for a Super Bowl since 1996. After failed roster construction over 30 years, Prescott knows these next few years are the best chances he's ever going to get.
His rookie year showed us that he has what it takes to be a leader. He and fellow rookie Ezekiel Elliott were arguably the best backfield in the NFL in 2016, but came up short against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional game.
Since then, it's been a whirlwind for the Cowboys in the playoffs. They have been involved in some of the weirdest plays in NFL playoff history. In the 2021 divisional game against the 49ers, the Cowboys ran out of time after Prescott ran the football with no timeouts and gave the football to his lineman, not the official.
The next year, the Cowboys decided to run a play with Zeke at center on the final play of the game, and that didn't work out. They collapsed embarrassingly on their own turf against the Packers a year later.
The Cowboys have the team (and hopefully the defense now) to make a Super Bowl happen. If not now, then when?
Tony Romo's biggest regret was never winning a Super Bowl for the Cowboys. He had to grow from the ground up, and he didn't always have the best supporting cast around him. Now, even his biggest haters back in the day respect him after realizing it was never his fault.
Prescott has more of a reason to have a target on his back because he has weapons that Romo never got to have.
CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens make up one of the best WR duos in the NFL, and they will be a huge reason as to why the Cowboys will go Super Bowl (or bust).
It's the mantra for Prescott here and going forward. Super Bowl or nothing. Go get it, Dak.
