The Dallas Cowboys have undergone significant changes this offseason, trying to overcome a disappointing 2024 campaign that saw them miss the playoffs after three straight years of 12 wins.
Owner Jerry Jones has never been one to make wise footbal decisions, yet he's still built a roster capable of competing with the right coach. Unfortunately for him, quarterback Dak Prescott's injury torpedoed things in 2024 before the campaign could even get off the ground.
Legendary guard Zack Martin retired over the last few months, and it sounds like he won't be alone in riding off to the proverbial sunset.

Dak Prescott Indicates LT Tyron Smith is Retiring
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Prescott seemingly congratulated future Hall-of-Fame left tackle Tyron Smith on a theoretifcal yet suddenly probable retirement.
I" always got your back, as you had mine! Enjoy retirement," Prescott wrote. It seems that Smith revealed to his former teammates that he was hanging up his cleats, and the Cowboys signal caller didn't miss an opportunity to shine some love on the vet.
A five-time All-Pro, Smith is widely recognized as one of the best players of his generation. He was a stalwart on the left side of the offensive line, having spent 13 years with the Cowboys before joining the New York Jets for one season in 2024. No fan should hold that against him, and he'll undoubtedly be in Dallas' ring of honor when it's all said and done.
Smith is almost syn·on·y·mous with Cowboys football. He's a deserving legend in Dallas and should be remembered fondly. Regardles, Prescott's post seemingly indicates that Smith intends to hang up the cleats and call it a career.
No matter what happens, Cowboys fans should be happy that they had the opportunity to cheer for such a beloved player.
