Former Cowboys QB Gets Trolled Online After Calling Out Eagles Infamous Play

Former Dallas quarterback Ben DiNucci commented on the TNF game and got trolled for it.

The Week 11 NFL schedule started with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders squaring off in an NFC East contest. The Eagles came out with a 26-18 win as the NFL world was tuned in.

Former Dallas quarterback Ben DiNucci was among the viewers of the game and commented on Philadelphia's tush push. He said, "The “tush push” annoys me. It isn’t football".

It didn't take long for someone to come back at him on Twitter/X and troll him for that comment.

Fan Responses to Ben DiNucci’s Tush Push Comment

Someone replied to DiNucci’s tweet with a clip of him attempting the tush push as the quarterback of the Seattle Sea Dragons but failing miserably. The caption of the tweet was "this u?".

While many people have something to say about the tush push, it's certainly easier said than done. DiNucci attempted a QB sneak with the same formation as the tush push and botched the snap, failing to pick up the first down.

The Eagles can successfully do that play due to their stout offensive line and Jalen Hurts being one of the strongest quarterbacks in the league.

DiNucci last played in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020, going 23-of-43 for 219 yards in three games. He had brief stops with the Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills but wasn't active.

The 27-year-old suited up for the Sea Dragons during the 2023 season and led the XFL in passing yards (2,671).

DiNucci made it very clear that he isn't a fan of the tush push but that didn't stop fans from trolling him about it.
