It took the World Cup for Cowboys fans to beg Jerry Jones for his most urgent need

Come on, Jerry.

The Dallas Cowboys will be one of the many hosts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and AT&T Stadium will be called "Dallas Stadium" this summer. Recent news of the tournament has Cowboys fans telling Jerry Jones, "I told you so."

Fans have criticized Jones in recent years for the sun glaring in players' eyes during games. In particular, the late-afternoon games, when the sun starts to come down. Jones has refused to have curtains in his house because he feels it's natural for football, and the sun gives the home team the advantage.

Of course, that's Jerry being Jerry. But one report from Front Office Sports will have Cowboys fans rolling their eyes. FOS says the World Cup will have curtains this summer for our visitors from around the world, but not for the most valuable franchise on the planet.

The World Cup will have curtains and Cowboys fans are outraged

Cowboys fans, get ready to scream.

What's even more confusing is that the Japan-Sweden game is the fourth game taking place at the stadium. The other games on the schedule take place at noon or 3 PM CT, and since we're close to summer, the sun won't set until after 8 PM CT.

Cowboys fans immediately flooded the comments for Jones to take action for the Cowboys' games. In fact, the stadium uses it for non-sports events, too. There are plenty of concerts at AT&T Stadium, and the curtains have been used for those events.

It's one thing for the away team to have a disadvantage, but the Cowboys have had their own disadvantages playing with the sun beating down on their eyes. It doesn't help much, and it's time that Jones recognized that. George Pickens had the sun beating down on his eyes during a game last season, and it was clear the brightness affected his route.

Similar issues have affected Dez Bryant, Cedric Wilson, and probably a bunch of other Cowboys in the past. Sure, the away team has had a sun disadvantage at times, but there isn't much of a comparison between the Cowboys and their opponents.

Most complaints are from the late-afternoon games. Of course, there's still sun out at 12 PM CT, but the sunset has been the real culprit over the past few years.

It's just another day, and another day of fans questioning Jones. Maybe the Cowboys owner will take a page out of the World Cup, but let's be honest, that's highly doubtful.
