Dallas Cowboys veteran tight end Jake Ferguson has developed into one of the better tight ends in the NFL and established himself as one of starting quarterback Dak Prescott’s top passing targets.
Ferguson, who is entering his final year of the deal, will be an unrestricted free agent in 2026, so fans hope that the Cowboys will keep him around for the foreseeable future. That will hopefully handle itself.
However, off the field, Ferguson is making big news. The 26-year-old tight end proposed to and is officially engaged to his girlfriend, Haley Cavinder. In a video posted on TikTok, Ferguson is seen with Cavinder celebrating as she shows off the engagement ring.

Cavinder plays college basketball at the University of Miami with her twin sister, Hanna. The twin sisters wrapped up their fifth season of college hoops, as it was their grad student year.
Haley Cavinder averaged 18.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game this past season with the Canes. Ferguson and Cavinder reportedly went public with their relationship in 2023.
This is a huge moment for them, and something they should celebrate for the weeks and months ahead leading up to the big day.
As for Ferguson, he hopes to help the Cowboys bounce back from a disappointing 7-10 record last season. The veteran tight end had 59 receptions (86 targets) for 494 yards in 14 games last season, which was a far cry from his performance in 2023.
During the 2023 campaign, Ferguson produced 71 receptions (102 targets) for 761 yards and five touchdowns. With a healthy Prescott and a new head coach (Brian Schottenheimer), there’s no reason to think that Ferguson won’t play better in 2025.
That said, congratulations are in order for the couple as they embark on another chapter in their journey.
