The Dallas Cowboys took the quiet approach in free agency as they typically do. They used the NFL draft as the biggest outlet to improve the team, and that came months after Brian Schottenheimer was named the head coach.

The Cowboys had a relatively good draft, but it's still going to be an uphill climb in 2025. The NFC East had the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders play in the NFC Championship Game. Meanwhile, the Cowboys and New York Giants missed the playoffs.

The Giants were aggressive in both free agency and the draft to improve the roster, while the Eagles and the Commanders' arrows are pointing up.

That same trend isn't felt about the Cowboys and NFL Network's Kyle Brandt made that known. On Tuesday's episode of "Good Morning Football," Brandt said, "They are by far the least interesting team in their division – fourth out of four, I don’t know if that’s ever been true in my entire life... The Titans are way more interesting, the Jaguars are way more interesting."

He also said, "The 2025 Cowboys have me feeling nothing."

Kyle Brandt Doesn’t Think Cowboys Are Interesting

That statement is going to have owner Jerry Jones pulling his hair out. The most important thing for Jones is having the Cowboys at the forefront of the news, regardless of what happens on the field.

Even if they aren't winning games, he wants his team to have a slew of primetime matchups and have every TV network talking about them. While the Cowboys' name still holds weight, they aren't the most intriguing team in their own division anymore.

The Eagles are the defending champions. The Commanders have a young superstar quarterback in Jayden Daniels and added star receiver Deebo Samuel via trade. The Giants have serious question marks at head coach and GM with Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen, but took some swings with the additions of Jaxson Dart, Abdul Carter, Jevon Holland, and Russell Wilson, among others.

From the outside looking in, these clubs all do have better storylines for the 2025 season, while the Cowboys didn't do anything flashy to draw attention.

We'll see how things unfold in the fall and winter, but it looks like Dallas lost that pull it once had.
