The NFL schedule release is here, and the Cowboys' 2026 season is slowly moving forward. While Cowboys fans have been chanting Super Bowl for the last 30 years, it looks like one of the famous broadcasters is on their side now.
ESPN's Joe Buck, who will be calling the big game with Cowboys legend Troy Aikman on February 14, 2027, has already made his Super Bowl prediction, and Cowboys fans may be jumping up and down as we speak.
"I'm going to aim big, I'm going to say Dallas-Buffalo," Buck said on ESPN. "Why not?"

It was actually Troy Aikman who picked the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl last year, but of course, we all know what happened after that.
There's every reason to believe the Cowboys could make it deep, especially with their offense staying intact. A full season with defensive coordinator Christian Parker coaching up Caleb Downs, Quinnen Williams and DeMarvion Overshown together (barring injury) makes it easy to believe the Cowboys could go all the way.
Of course, it's not going to be easy building a defense from scratch, but the culture Parker has already implemented is outstanding, and Cowboys fans can see why Buck made his prediction. All they need to be is average. Heck, even if they get to the 20th-best defense, that's considered a major step up from 2025.
If George Pickens can do what he did in 2025, and if the defense balances out the star offense, there's no telling how far this team can go.
For Cowboys fans, this is nothing new. They've been chanting about winning the Super Bowl since 1996, which is the last time they even saw an NFC Championship appearance. Now, every team in the NFC has seen the conference championship since the 21st century began, and it's time for Dallas to end the curse.
For the Buffalo Bills, it's easy to see why they are up there, too. Josh Allen is one of the more elite quarterbacks in the NFL, and it almost seems destined that he will get his chance to end their own curse. Bills fans still have a grudge against Cowboys fans from the 90s, and it would be just like the Bills to go all the way to lose to Dallas again.
These are strong words from Buck, but it's what every Cowboys fan has been thinking. They've got the tools they need. Now, they need to put it on the football field every week.
Easier said than done, but after this year's draft, people are buying stock in the Cowboys, and it's clear to see why.
