Key Cowboys Player Misses Wednesday’s Practice for Shocking Reason
The Dallas Cowboys (3-3) are traveling to play the San Francisco 49ers (3-4) in an NFC showdown on Sunday Night Football.
Both teams have dealt with injuries and need this win badly. The Cowboys are coming off a bye in Week 7 and are looking to get a much-needed win. Micah Parsons was only in the rehab area during Wednesday's practice, which doesn't well bode Sunday night.
While that's a major player not participating in practice, the Cowboys also had a kicker Brandon Aubrey missing practice for a shocking reason.
Cowboys News: Brandon Aubrey Missed Wednesday’s Practice Due to Jury Duty
According to the Cowboys' official injury report for Week 8, Aubrey missed Wednesday's session due to Jury Duty.
It's now been revealed that Aubrey was selected to be on a 12-person jury in Tarrant County’s 297th District Court. According to Nick Harris, sources told the Fort Worth Telegram they are unsure how long that case will last. Shortly after, Matt Tympanick of Tympanick Law said it's a 3rd-degree domestic violence case and should be over in a few days.
The 29-year-old is a serious weapon for the Cowboys and provides them with a near-automatic kicker. This season, he's 17-of-19 on his field-goal attempts and a perfect 9-of-9 on extra-point attempts. He also drilled an NFL-long 65-yard field goal. The Notre Dame product ranks sixth in the league in total points (60), notching at least seven points in every game this season.
The Cowboys may have Aubrey available on Sunday but the 2nd-year pro had to miss Wednesday's practice session.
