The Dallas Cowboys will use the next few months to improve this team after missing the postseason in 2024. This team saw key players like Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons miss time this season with injuries.

The Cowboys hope that won't be the case in 2025, but before we can even get there, some rumors regarding Parsons' future in Dallas have risen.

In an article written by Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, he revealed that trade speculation around Parsons has picked up over the past year and teams should call Dallas if they are interested in giving out big-time assets to land him.

Dallas Could Be Willing to Listen to Offers for Micah Parsons

Breer wrote, "There’s been enough noise on Micah Parsons’s relationships inside the Cowboys’ building over the last year to put anyone’s radar up for a trade, with Parsons potentially commanding $40 million per year on a second contract. If you’re willing to pay that, plus high-end picks, for a uniquely talented defensive star … I’d give Dallas a call."

Parsons is up for a massive extension and could be looking to become the highest-paid defender in the league. San Francisco's Nick Bosa holds that title after inking a five-year, $170 million extension ($34 million annually) in 2023.

The Penn State product has secured 256 total tackles, 63 TFLs, 112 QB hits, and 52.5 sacks over four seasons. He's clearly one of the best EDGE threats in the league and is looking to lock down a monster extension.

Dallas' roster has multiple holes, so the idea of paying Parsons top of the market has opened the door to trade rumors. Especially since Prescott signed a four-year, $240 million deal and CeeDee Lamb landed a four-year, $136 million contract last year. They are among the top two at their positions and Parsons looks to do the same.

Whether or not Dallas dishes out that money to Parsons remains to be seen, but Breer believes there's a window for a team to swoop in and snag Parsons with the right trade offer.
