The Dallas Cowboys' tumultuous 2024 campaign finally concluded with Sunday's 23-19 loss to the Washington Commanders. The final loss means America's Team will enter the NFL offseason with a 7-10 record, marking their second missed postseason since 2020.

There are a lot of questions surrounding the Cowboys ahead of the coming months, including Micah Parsons' health. The defensive difference-maker was plagued by a wrist injury leading up to Week 18, leaving Dallas fans to wonder if he'd be forced to undergo any sort of offseason procedure.

Cowboys Injury News: Micah Parsons Won't Need Wrist Surgery

On Monday, several Cowboys players and coaches spoke to the local media about the 2024 campaign and the upcoming offseason. According to Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins, Parsons told reporters that "he doesn't need surgery" and that "he's fine" going forward.

Cowboys fans can feel relieved knowing that Parsons should be fully healthy to begin the 2025 season. The former Penn State product already showed that his wrist is no longer an issue, proven by his recording three solo tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a trio of quarterback hits against the Commanders over the weekend.

Hopefully, Parsons takes the next several months to come back better than ever during training camp.

The three-time Pro-Bowler was still one of the NFL's top defenders this season, however, his numbers were down across the board after missing four games due to injury. His 30 solo tackles and 12.0 sacks were both the lowest totals of his career, leaving room for a major bounce-back showing next year.

Fortunately, Parsons' advanced stats suggest that a dominant 2025 performance isn't out of the question. He finished his fourth NFL season as Pro Football Focus' fourth- and sixth-best exterior defender in terms of pass rushing and overall defense, respectively.

Time will tell if Parsons' latest performance will land him the massive contract extension he's looking for. The Harrisburg, PA native is set to make $21.4 million playing on his fifth-year option next and will look for a major pay raise in 2026 and beyond.

"I think I'm the best player in the world. I don't throw numbers out there like that," Parsons told ESPN's Todd Archer on Dec. 19. "I'll see what (the Cowboys are) willing to give me."

Although Jerry Jones has occasionally dragged his feet when it comes to paying his best players, the franchise can't afford to lose an impactful superstar of Parsons' caliber — especially if the 82-year-old billionaire wants to end the franchise's Super Bowl drought sooner rather than later.
