Cowboys star Micah Parsons, who has undergone significant strife this year given the team's struggles and his nefarious podcast activities, had a direct response to rumors that he could be traded this offseason.

It sounds like Parsons has no interest in being traded. Pending his contract demands, it may not be his choice.

Jerry Jones has proven to be perhaps the worst in the entire league at evaluating contracts, increasing the possibility that Parsons is forced to leave. Let the star tell it though, and it sounds like the ball is in Jones' court.

Micah Parsons Responds to Jerry Jones Amid Trade Rumors

Losing Parsons would represent an unforgivable mistake from Jones and his crew of clowns. Jones has done a horrific job managing this roster, yet no loss would be more impactful than Parsons'.

"I understand how that business side goes. There are no hard feelings in this business, whether I'm here or anywhere else," Parsons said. "Obviously I've stated that I want to be here. But at the end of the day, I understand the business side.

I've put in a lot of work, I've played hard too, so obviously if sides can't agree to those type of things, it happens like that. But I'm just happy to be here. I'm just gonna keep playing hard while I'm here. If I'm here for the next 5-6 years, I'm gonna keep playing hard then too. Ain't nothing really gonna make a difference, Micah is gonna play hard."

Put everything together and it's obvious that Parsons wants to remain with the franchise. Jones waited until the last second for CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott out of pride, costing the organization millions.

Unfortunately, it's likely he'll employ the same tactics with Parsons. The players want to be in Dallas. The only question is whether or not Jones is smart enough to take a good deal when he sees it.
