For four years, Micah Parsons was the undisputed best player wearing a Dallas Cowboys uniform. He was the face of the franchise, the defensive catalyst, and someone who could've been a building block for the next decade.

Unfortunately, things ended prematurely, and Jerry Jones simply didn't handle this situation well. But even though they didn't see eye-to-eye and Parsons didn't leave the team on good terms, he still has nothing but love for the fans. With that in mind, he's expecting a warm welcome in his return to AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

Micah Parsons Expects Love in His Return to Dallas

“I think Dallas loves me. I think they’re gonna give me a good round of applause. There’s no hard feelings there, at least for me. I think it’s gonna be a great atmosphere,” Parsons said, per The Athletic's Jon Machota.

Truth be told, Cowboys fans have no reason to feel any ill towards him, either. Granted, he now plays for the opposition, so they can't root for him, but he made it loud and clear that he wanted to be a Cowboy for life before feeling disrespected by the front office.

He was always respectful of the fans and showed his passion and strong effort week in and week out. So, even if some may not want to cheer for a player from a visiting team, there's definitely no reason to boo him.

Micah Parsons Reacts to Not Getting a Tribute Video

Regardless of how the fans may feel, the Cowboys will treat this game like any other game. They won't make him a tribute video, with Jerry Jones claiming it wouldn't be appropriate. Even so, he's unbothered by that decision:

“There’s a lot of things I can consider disrespectful throughout this process, but I wouldn’t say the tribute is one of them,” Parsons said. “I just think there’s hard feelings maybe there for them, but, for me, I’m happy where I’m at. And we’ve got a really good football team. So I guess I can [receive] my tribute in a win, I hope.”

At the end of the day, this is a business like any other, and both parties have every right to do what they believe is best for them. Of course, there will always be some emotions there, and it's impossible not to wonder what could've been, but he has to be a professional and just do his job.
