He will have to wait until later in the year to get his hands on him, Dallas Cowboys first round pick Tyler Booker is already making headlines within the NFC East, and there is one showdown in particular that is at the top of his wish list entering the 2025 campaign.

During his introductory press conference in Dallas on Friday, Booker said all of the things Cowboys fans could have wanted to hear with regard to this organization being a dream destination for him. However, the comments that, likely, will be bantered about the most came when the former University of Alabama standout revealed which NFC East rival he is looking forward to squaring off against the most.

As any college football fan knows, rivalries run deep in the SEC and Booker made it clear while speaking with the media in attendance at The Star that he is looking forward to lining up across from Philadelphia Eagles star, and former University of Georgia standout, Jalen Carter more than anyone else.

"You only get better by going against guys like that," Booker said, via Tommy Yarrish of DallasCowboys.com, when explaining why the Eagles All-Pro was the opposing player that immediately came to mind.

It goes without saying that this is exactly the type of approach to the game of football, and life for that matter, that winners have. They don't want to cut corners in order to achieve success and Booker clearly wants to make a name for himself by keeping one of the league's most dangerous interior defensive linemen from getting a finger on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

Cowboys fans may have had some initial doubts about the selection of Booker at No. 12, but if he can back up comments like this with the way he plays in the trenches once the 2025 season kicks off, then it won't matter what fans thought about the selection on draft night.
