The NFL trade deadline is still a few weeks away, but that isn’t stopping one NFC team from making a move.

According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Seattle Seahawks acquired veteran defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick.

Based on Dallas’ injuries at defensive end, they should’ve made this move for Robertson-Harris instead of the Seahawks. Dallas has lost Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Marshawn Kneeland to various injuries over the last two weeks.

The Cowboys hoped to have Parsons back soon but went into Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions with Carl Lawson and Chauncey Golston as the starters. However, the depth behind those two guys isn’t great, which is why Robertson-Harris would’ve been a solid addition to Dallas.

This season with the Jaguars, the veteran defensive lineman has seven combined tackles, four quarterback hits, three tackles for loss, and two sacks. Robertson-Harris recorded a sack in the Jags’ blowout loss to the Chicago Bears.

Robertson-Harris has spent the last four seasons in Jacksonville, where he had 36 quarterback hits, 17 tackles for loss, and 11.5 sacks. The 31-year-old defensive lineman spent time at DE in his first two years with the Jaguars.

With the Cowboys having a bye in Week 6, the front office will evaluate the 53-man roster and create a plan ahead of next month’s trade deadline. If Dallas plans to compete this season, they should consider exploring an addition on the defensive line.
