2 Duds (and 1 Stud) From Rangers' ALCS Game 4 Loss to Astros
By Tyler Maher
Stud: Corey Seager
I was tempted to pick Chris Stratton for my one stud, as he was the only Rangers pitcher who wasn't charged with a run. Unfortunately, though, his 1 2/3 scoreless innings came too late to affect the outcome.
On the hitting side, this was basically a toss-up between Adolis Garcia and Corey Seager, both of whom went 2-for-4 with a homer. Seager's blast was more important at the time, though, so we'll go with him.
Seager flew out in his first at-bat, but his second trip to the plate was more productive. With Texas trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the third, Seager launched a game-tying homer to left-center off Jose Urquidy.
The crowd was fired up. The Rangers were fired up. For a minute, it looked like they might actually win the game.
Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there.
