Dud: Jonah Heim

The Rangers needed their top players to step up at the plate after Scherzer's early struggles. However, catcher Jonah Heim was unable to answer the call.

Heim was stifled by Houston's staff, going 0-for-4. He didn't have any strikeouts, so he at least put the ball in play, but he couldn't get one down no matter who was on the mound.

It's disappointing to see Heim put up a goose egg considering how he's played to begin this series. The 2023 All-Star drove in a run in both previous matchups, including a solo home run in Game 2, so a zero-RBI night is a dud by his standards in the ALCS.

Heim was far from the only Ranger to not be of much help on Wednesday, but his lack of production was certainly felt after he came up big for Texas in Houston. Hopefully he can get back in track in Game 4 to push the lead to 3-1.
