The start of the NFL regular season is rapidly approaching, but before then we're going to get one last wave of roster cuts. Every team's 53-man roster needs to be finalized by Tuesday, Aug. 29, so it's crunch time for players on the roster bubble.

At this point, there shouldn't be too many surprises about who makes the Cowboys' final roster and who doesn't. With over a month of training camp practices and three preseason games, players have had plenty of chances to show what they're capable of and if they have what it takes to stay in the NFL.

With that in mind, here are three players on the bubble who we expect to make Dallas' final roster.

3 Cowboys on Roster Bubble

1. Jalen Tolbert

The Cowboys spent a third-round pick on Tolbert last year, only to watch him contribute virtually nothing on offense. He finished his rookie season with just 2 catches on 3 targets for 12 yards across 8 games, failing to make an impact.

Well, Dallas is giving Tolbert another shot this year, and so far he's making the most of it. He caught a touchdown during the preseason game against the Jaguars and racked up 66 yards against the Seahawks, so he's already having a much bigger impact than last year.

CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks and Michael Gallup are set to lead the receiving corps, but Tolbert could slot in behind them as the No. 4 option. A big key for him will be developing chemistry with Dak Prescott, who barely threw to him last year and hasn't played much with him during the preseason.

Between his draft pedigree and his strong preseason work, Tolbert has done more than enough to make the team this year, easing some concerns about his future with the organization. Now he just needs to go out and prove he's legit during real games in the regular season.
