2. Kelvin Beachum, OT, Arizona Cardinals

A product of SMU, Kelvin Beachum has been in the NFL since 2012. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in Round 7 and developed into a trusted starter early in his career before making the rounds with a few other franchises. In 12 seasons in the league, Beachum has appeared in 163 games with 149 starts.

What makes him an intriguing fit with the Cowboys is his versatility to play either tackle position effectively. He was a left tackle for the majority of his time in Pittsburgh — as well as with the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets. For the past four seasons, he's been with the Arizona Cardinals and was a starter on the right side for the first three years with them.

In 2023, however, he moved to the bench. Beachum served as an experienced swing tackle and made two starts. He's once again a backup with Paris Johnson, Jr. and Jonah Williams set as the starters. They have some other options including rookie fifth-round pick Christian Jones from Texas. If the former Longhorn shows promise, he could leap past the 35-year-old Beachum.

If so, the Cowboys might want to see if they can swing a deal with Arizona to bring the Texas native home. At this stage of his career, Beachum won't be a long-term option but he would be a swing tackle who can serve as a mentor for rookie Tyler Guyton who is set to make a tough transition.
