The 2024 NFL Draft is in the books and the Dallas Cowboys had a strong showing. They landed two potential starting offensive linemen by trading the 24th overall pick to the Detroit Lions for No. 29 and No. 73. That's where they landed Tyler Guyton from Oklahoma and Cooper Beebe from Kansas State, respectively.

From there, they continued to find value all the way to their final pick which was used on Auburn nose tackle Justin Rogers. For good measure, they even landed some talented undrafted free agents including Minnesota's Brevyn Spann-Ford, who has a real shot of making the roster.

Dallas said they would then shift their focus to free agents, which they did by bringing back Ezekiel Elliott and Damien Wilson. Now, we look at their roster and identify three veterans who are likely to be let go before the start of the season.

3. Matt Waletzko, OT

Adding Guyton should solve the dilemma regarding the Cowboys' open spot at left tackle. He won't be as good as Tyron Smith but they're hoping he will be more durable. And they can keep Tyler Smith at left guard, where he played very well in his second season.

Dallas added another offensive tackle later in the draft when they landed Nathan Thomas in the seventh round. Throw in the return of Chuma Edoga as well as the versatility Asim Richards has to play guard and tackle, and Matt Waletzko could find himself on the chopping block.

A fifth-round pick out of North Dakota in 2022, Waletzko has appeared in just four games and has yet to make a major impression on the team — even with the injuries they've dealt with. Thomas and Richards have more upside whereas Edoga can be a swing tackle for them now, which has Waletzko stuck on the outside looking in.
