3 Dallas Stars on the Nice List (& 2 on the Naughty List) This Christmas
Nice List #3: Joe Pavelski
Every year, it seems like people are wondering if this will be the season that Joe Pavelski finally slows down. Hockey is one of the most grueling sports on the planet, meaning it's normal to wonder if a player who's nearing 40 — with nearly 1,500 games under his belt — is bound to slow down.
Instead, Pavelski continues to age like fine wine.
The 39-year-old two-way star leads all Dallas players with 13 goals and 29 points in 30 games. He's on pace for 35 goals (which would be his most since 2019) and 79 points, which is the type of production Stars fans are used to after back-to-back campaigns of at least 27 goals and 77 points.
To further put things in perspective, there are currently 29 NHL players who are 36 or older and Sidney Crosby is the only one with more points (33) than Pavelski. If you ask me, that's some great company to be associated with.
Even though it feels like Pavelski has been around since Santa first started his gig, the former All-Star has earned his place on the Nice List, once again.
