Naughty List #1: Ty Dellandrea

Fans have had high hopes for Ty Dellandrea throughout his Stars tenure. Drafted 13th overall in 2018, the Port Perry, ON native only raised expectations when he played a role in Team Canada's gold medal victory at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championships.

After beginning his professional career in the American Hockey League, Dellandrea finally got a crack with the big club last season. While he dealt with highs and lows throughout his first full-time campaign, he still finished with nine goals and 19 assists while averaging just over 14 minutes without missing any of the 82 games.

The Stars hoped that he could take the next step in 2023-24, but that hasn't been the case. Dellandrea has been invisible more often than not, scoring one goal on 14 shots while registering a single assist in 17 outings.

He's also been scratched multiple times, leading to inconsistent playing time as the likes of Sam Steel and Wyatt Johnston continue to outperform him.

Dellandrea is still young (23) and has plenty of time to turn things around — especially if someone ahead of him on the depth chart becomes injured. Having said that, there isn't enough time between now and Christmas to get off the Naughty List.
