3 Dream Cowboys Trade Targets This Offseason

If the Dallas Cowboys could find a way to pull off these dream trades, they would be tough to beat in 2024

While the first two dream targets would help improve the defense, our final dream scenario looks at Chris Godwin, a wide receiver who is currently with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Godwin is a crisp route runner with reliable hands. He’s a former third-round pick who topped 1,000 yards over each of the past three seasons — and four of the past five.

Godwin has been able to rack up 6,690 yards on 529 receptions with 34 touchdowns in his seven-year career. What's more impressive is that he's done this on a team that's seen several quarterbacks lead the offense — and on an offense where Mike Evans was the No. 1 target.

This offseason, Evans is hitting the open market and is going to be one of the most sought-after free agents. If Tampa Bay is somehow able to keep him from leaving, then that would mean Godwin might not be able to stick around for much longer. Already set for free agency in 2025, the Bucs could then look to shed his salary.

Dallas would be a good landing spot for him since it would give him another offense that throws the ball a lot. For the Cowboys, it would also be good to have someone who can move all over the field and will be able to work alongside a legit No. 1 wideout such as CeeDee Lamb. His addition could also be enough to get the front office to move on from Michael Gallup, who hasn't lived up to his contract.
