2. Richie James, WR

The 28-year-old wide receiver spent last season with the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. But in 2022, James played for the New York Giants.

Last season with the Chiefs, the 5-foot-9 wide receiver only had 10 receptions (14 targets) for 114 yards. However, James played an integral part in the Giants’ passing game en route to a playoff appearance.

He posted career highs across the board with 57 receptions (70 targets) for 569 yards and four touchdowns. James’ best game with the Giants happened against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16, posting eight receptions (11 targets) for 90 yards.

The Cowboys are set at the WR1 and WR2 spots with CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks, but they have an opening at the WR3 spot.

Jalen Tolbert is considered the leading candidate for the WR3 job. However, he’ll have to earn it in training camp and preseason. James might not ultimately beat Tolbert for the job, but he could provide tremendous depth for one of the better passing offenses in the league.
