With the Cowboys having Trevon Diggs, DaRon Bland, and Jourdan Lewis, Dallas likely isn’t in the market for another cornerback. Not to mention, Dallas used a fifth-round pick on Caelen Carson in the 2024 NFL Draft, who they are high on.

That said, when you have a veteran defensive back, such as Adoree’ Jackson still on the open market – it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Cowboys to kick the tires.

The former New York Giants cornerback struggled a little bit last season. He allowed a 65.9 completion percentage allowed on targets, a 95.5 pass rating allowed when targeted (second-highest in his career), and two receiving touchdowns.

Nonetheless, the 28-year-old is still a starting-caliber cornerback. Therefore, Dallas may not be the best spot for Jackson. But if a surprise injury happens over the next month or in training camp, Jackson could be the Cowboys’ first call.

Last season, the Cowboys lost Diggs to a torn ACL, but they were able to survive, thanks to the play of Stephon Gilmore and Bland. They don't have Gilmore, who is also an unrestricted free agent like Jackson.
