2. Myjai Sanders

If the Cowboys are looking for a young defensive lineman to take a flier on, Sanders wouldn’t be a bad option. The 26-year-old defensive end had a ton of talent coming out of the University of Cincinnati but that hasn’t carried over to the NFL.

Sanders was drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. He only played 13 games during his rookie season in Arizona before they placed him on injured reserve last season and released him in October.

The Texans claimed Sanders off waivers not too long ago after playing in seven games last year. However, Houston waived the former Cincinnati Bearcat standout in April. The 26-year-old has only played in 20 career NFL games after being a top-100 pick.

Sanders has 30 combined tackles, seven quarterback hits, four tackles for loss, and three sacks on his NFL resume. The Cowboys could likely stash him on the practice squad, so they wouldn’t have to use a roster spot, except on game days.

With Lawrence and Parsons both sidelined for multiple weeks, the Cowboys need to exhaust every option and work out multiple guys to see if they can find an adequate fix.
