Saturday's preseason game was, unfortunately, headlined by two season-ending injuries for the Cowboys. The biggest was suffered by linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, who looked poised to make an immediate impact as a rookie.

Overshown's injury creates a hole on the depth chart that Dallas could fill by bringing in outside help. With that in mind, here are three free agents the Cowboys should consider signing right now.

Free Agent Replacements for DeMarvion Overshown

1. Kyle Van Noy

Dallas has its sights set on contending for the Lomardi Trophy once again this season. Pursuing Kyle Van Noy to make that dream become a reality makes a lot of sense.

Van Noy knows exactly what it takes to a win a championship, as he played a key role for a pair of Super Bowl-winning teams while with the Patriots. Though he's now 31 years old, the veteran has remained very productive in the latter stage of his career, recording at least 5.0 sacks in each of the past three seasons.

Impressively, Van Noy has done that while spending each of the last three years with different teams, going from Miami, (back) to New England, to Los Angeles in 2022. Van Noy played in all 17 games for the Chargers this past season and made 13 starts, showing no signs of slowing down as he gets up in there in age.

The opportunity to contribute to another Super Bowl-worthy team should excite him. Meanwhile, he'd provide another established talent for Dan Quinn to utilize on his defense.
