3 Free Agents Cowboys Should Sign After DeMarvion Overshown Injury
2. Rashaan Evans
Of all the free agent LBs on the market right now, I actually think Rashaan Evans is the ideal target for Dallas.
After all, this unit isn't lacking in players capable of getting to the quarterback. Instead, they might prefer a veteran who can simply bring a stable presence alongside the team's playmakers.
Evans is epitome of a defensive glue guy. He held down an inside linebacker spot for the Titans for four seasons, including racking up 264 total tackles over his last three years alone. That didn't stop after he joined the Falcons for the 2022 campaign, either, as Evans led his new squad in both solo (86) and total tackles (159).
As shown by his 1-on-1 tackling ability, Evans is an incredibly reliable player who can slot seamlessly into any defense. Dallas could use that kind of contributor to make the necessary plays while their more explosive talents focus on disrupting in the backfield or secondary.
This defense saw just one member post over 100 tackles last year. Bringing in Evans to do the dirty work and help the others avoid extra wear would pay massive dividends.
