The Dallas Mavericks should still be looking at the free-agent market and these guys would be great additions.

2. Markelle Fultz

The Mavs should look to add some more depth in the backcourt behind Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Those two guys are constantly playmaking and creating the offense for Dallas, which can be tiring.

Adding some to help ease that workload could go a long way. Someone they should look at is Markelle Fultz. The 2017 first-overall pick may not have lived up to those expectations but he has carved out a role for himself in this league.

Fultz is still athletic and decisive with the ball in his hands. He does well in transition and has the court vision to find the open man. In 43 games for the Orlando Magic last season, he averaged 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.

Having someone like Fultz run the second unit would be a massive win for Dallas.

3. Dennis Smith Jr.

This one would be a reunion for both sides as Dallas has looked into adding Dennis Smith Jr.

He was the ninth overall pick in 2017 by Dallas but was shipped out after 1.5 years with the Mavs. Even though things didn't turn out the way they envisioned long term, everything happens for a reason.

Bringing Smith Jr. back to bolster the backcourt could be a great addition. The NC State product is an explosive force who plays better when he's attacking downhill.

Smith likes to get out in transition but has the ability to get his teammates involved in the flow of the game. The Mavs need to add more athletic ball handlers to the second unit and a guy like Smith Jr. would fill that need.

In his career, Smith Jr. averages 9.7 points, 4.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
