3 Hardest Games on the Cowboys 2024 Schedule

Week 3 Cowboys Vs Ravens: September 22nd
Last season, the Baltimore Ravens were on the verge of making it to the Super Bowl for the first time in over a decade but were defeated by eventual champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. The Ravens will be going into this upcoming season with a vengeance, looking to return to the AFC Championship and to the Super Bowl for the first time in Lamar Jackson's career.
Going into the season, the Cowboys have been given the unfortunate task of facing the Ravens in only their second game. Historically, the Cowboys have struggled to contain Jackson as he was able to put up a dominant performance against the Cowboys back in 2020 when he was able to rush for 94 yards while also throwing for two touchdowns. Hopefully, new Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer can find a way to contain Jackson, or else the Boys may be in for a long afternoon against the Ravens.
Week 8 Cowboys vs 49ers: October 27th
For the second straight season, the Cowboys will face the 49ers in the regular season. They hope to have a much more successful matchup this season than they did last. Last October, the eventual NFC Champions routed the Cowboys 43 to 10.
The 49ers have quickly become the Cowboys' biggest rivals in the league even though it has been somewhat of a one-sided rivalry, with the Cowboys losing three straight games against the 49ers, with two of those games happening to be in the playoffs that sent Dallas home.
After a heartbreaking loss in the Super Bowl this past February, the 49ers will be looking to find ways to remain one of the most dominant teams in the NFL and compete for another chance to return to the Super Bowl. When the Cowboys travel to San Francisco, it will be a good test for the Cowboys to see where they stand against one of the premier teams in the league. It will also give Mike McCarthy and the rest of his coaching staff a good indication of the Cowboys' current strengths and weaknesses.
