3. Finish the Job

The Rangers had the Astros on the ropes in Game 5. Texas took a 4-2 lead into the top of the ninth with closer Jose Leclerc on the mound, needing just 3 outs to close out the game and take a 3-2 series lead to Houston,

Unfortunately, Leclerc couldn't shut the door. He stumbled for the first time in these playoffs, serving up back-breaking 3-run homer to Jose Altuve that swung the game and potentially the series.

Bad innings happen, but the Rangers simply can't afford one tonight. If they have a lead going into the late innings, they need to nail it down and finish the job. That means no meltdowns from Aroldis Chapman, and Leclerc needs to shake off what happened on Friday night and bounce back.

If Eovaldi and the offense does its job, the bullpen needs to do its job as well. Texas can't afford another blown save that it's only one loss away from elimination. If the Rangers' bullpen lets them down, it's not just game over. It's series over, season over, see you next spring.

Think Texas can rebound tonight? Make sure to back them BetMGM. New users can snag $200 in instant bonus bets by simply claiming the offer below and placing a first wager of just $10. This is a limited-time offer, though, so don't wait!
