2. Ndamukong Suh

The Cowboys' defense was solid for the most part in 2022, but stopping the run was one area where they struggled. After all, they surrendered a whopping 124.4 rushing yards per game — 11th-worst in the NFL.

With over $22 million in cap space remaining (per Spotrac), Dallas has more than enough room to add a notable name like Ndamukong Suh. The former Nebraska Cornhusker is a terrific run-stopper, having racked up 600 career tackles (392 solo, 130 for a loss).

Suh has been a force throughout his career, winning the 2010 Defensive Rookie of the Year trophy while earning five Pro Bowl and four All-Pro appearances. Even though he's no longer playing at his prime level, he's more accomplished than the majority of available names.

It would be interesting to see what he has left in the tank, though. After sitting out of the 2022 season's first half, Suh signed with the Philadelphia Eagles and recorded 12 tackles and a sack over 11 games (eight regular season, three postseason).

Although he's past his prime, Suh's name alone brings more respect to the Cowboys' locker room and gives them a reliable backup option when it comes to stopping the run.
