3. Siaki Ika, defensive tackle
The Cowboys have clearly been in the market for defensive line help in recent weeks. We've seen them make a number of veteran additions since the start of training camp and Mike Zimmer even brought in a familiar veteran face in Linval Joseph, who played for him for years in Minnesota.
Because Dallas has been in the market for defensive tackle help, maybe they should consider putting in a claim for Cleveland Browns 2023 third-round pick Siaki Ika, who was just a monumental disappointment in his short time there in Cleveland.
Now, why would the Cowboys want Ika if he had such a rough go for the Browns?
Well, one man's trash is another man's treasure, right?
Ika might be a better overall fit in Mike Zimmer's defense, which utilizes a more traditional nose tackle type on the interior defensive line. That's why Linval Joseph was brought in, and it's why Zimmer vowed earlier in the offseason to put former first-round pick Mazi Smith back in his more natural position.
Ika is a space-eater up front but also flashed the ability to penetrate through the line of scrimmage at Baylor. The ink is still drying on his draft report from last year, and coming to Dallas would be a return to the state of Texas where Ika played his college ball (Baylor).
It could end up being a really good fit for both sides and Ika could rehabilitate his value in Dallas.
