Dud: Brock Burke

The Rangers' bullpen was awful in Game 4, giving up 6 runs and 8 hits in 4 innings of work. That would've been catastrophic in most World Series games, but fortunately with the offense having such a big night, it didn't matter.

Honestly whole bullpen was a dud, but if I have to single one reliever out to criticize, it's Burke.

Burke replaced Cody Bradford to open the bottom of the eighth, which is when things started to go a little haywire. He got Ketel Marte to fly out to center, but things quickly unraveled from there. Burke allowed 3 straight singles to Corbin Carroll, Gabriel Moreno and Christian Walker, loading the bases with only 1 out.

Bochy quickly came to get him before he could douse gasoline all over the game, but all 3 runners came around to score after he departed.

Worse, Burke's bad inning triggered a domino effect where Bochy used four relievers to cover the final two innings, which obviously isn't ideal when you have another game to play the next day. If Burke had done his job, Bochy certainly wouldn't have had to bring in closer Jose Leclerc in the ninth inning of what should have been a blowout.

It goes without saying that we probably won't see Burke in Game 5 unless the score is already out of hand.
