2. Dorance Armstrong

It's easy to get overlooked when you're playing across from Micah Parsons, but Dorance Armstrong proved last season that his emergence in 2021 and 2022 was for real.

His sack total dropped slightly, from 8.5 in 2022 to 7.5 in 2023, but Armstrong was still credited with a strong 34 pressures on the year, and his pass rush grade on Pro Football Focus climbed to 70.1.

Armstrong isn't a priority free agent for the Cowboys this year, with names like Tyron Smith and Stephon Gilmore topping the list, but he's someone who quietly makes a real difference.

He clearly meshes well with this Cowboys front seven, and he's so far been lucky enough to play his entire career in Dallas. Those factors could make him amenable to getting an extension done before free agency opens, and that would be a big win for Dallas, who would avoid having to potentially get into a bidding war for him on the open market.

Armstrong wouldn't be a superstar signing, but keeping him in Dallas would be one of those quiet moves that really pays dividends down the stretch.
