Stud: Josh Jung

The term "stud" can be relative. When you're batting out of the 8-hole, it doesn't take quite as much to warrant the designation than it does when you're batting early in the order.

So did Josh Jung match what Garver and Seager pulled off through the series? Not quite. But he was a stud anyway.

Jung’s solo home run in Game.1 proved to be a big deal, extending the Rangers’ lead to 3-1. Considering the Orioles went on to score a second run, Jung’s homer proved to be the game’s decisive score.

It wasn’t a single moment that impressed in Game 2, but the accumulation of 2 runs scored on 2 hits and 1 walk over 5 plate appearances. Rock-solid from your No. 8 hitter.

And then Jung didn't let the momentum die in Game 3, getting on base with a single in his first plate appearance and being knocked in on that Garver double.

Jung finished the series with 5 hits, 1 walk, 4 runs and 1 RBI in 13 plate appearances.

Scoring runs in all three games, including the winning run in the first contest? Not too shabby for a rookie.
