3. Trey Lance

Just like in the first two games, I highly doubt that we'll see Trey Lance this week.

While some teams are dealing with quarterback controversies, that isn't the case for Dallas. Dak Prescott looked like a surgeon in the win over the Jets while Cooper Rush is one of the best backup QBs in the entire NFL.

Throw in the fact that the league's emergency QB rule is in effect and there's no reason to waste an active spot on the former 2021 third-overall selection.

Lance is likely still learning the playbook and would look like a deer caught in the headlights if he's thrown into an in-game situation at this point. We likely won't see much of him (if at all) unless Prescott or Rush goes down with an injury.

Hopefully, Lance will turn his career around with Dallas one day. Having said that, we almost certainly won't find that out this week.
