5 Most Important Cowboys Free Agent Targets in 2024

5. Derrick Nnadi
After getting gashed on the ground this season for 112.4 rushing yards per game, the Cowboys might be looking to add to their interior defensive line this offseason.
Jonathan Hankins and Neville Gallimore are set to become unrestricted free agents in March when the new league year begins, so it’s not a guarantee they’ll be back in Dallas. If that’s the case, the Cowboys should look to bring in Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Derek Nnadi.
Nnadi is coming off a solid 2023 campaign with the Chiefs, which ended in another Super Bowl title. The 27-year-old defensive lineman had 29 combined tackles, a sack, and a quarterback hit in 17 games. Those aren’t impressive numbers, and it doesn’t help that PFF gave Nnadi an overall grade of 40.6.
If you are a Cowboys fan, that might not sound appealing, as Nnadi doesn’t offer any pass-rusher ability. However, Nnadi’s calling card coming out of college was being a run-stopper, so maybe Zimmer can unleash that, as Dallas needs depth at that spot.
