5. Trey Lance

The aforementioned Prescott has been on a roll over the past two weeks. He popped off for 304 yards and 4 touchdowns (with an 80% completion percentage) against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8, then almost led his team to the win over Philly with another 374 yards and 3 TDs this past Sunday.

That's quieted much of the quarterback whispers that circulated earlier this season when it comes to the team's QB1. Meanwhile, Cooper Rush hasn't needed to play any extended time at all in 2023, leaving little room for controversy here.

As a result, it'll likely be another inactive tag for Trey Lance in Week 10. He's still allowed to dress for the game and actually play if both Prescott and Rush are injured or ejected, but without taking up a game day roster spot. Instead Dallas can make another depth piece at a different position active to face New York.
