2. Jalen Tolbert, WR

If it feels like we've been talking for three straight years about the Dallas Cowboys needing to find another receiver to step up besides CeeDee Lamb, it's because we have.

The Cowboys made one of the worst trades in recent franchise history in 2022 when they sent Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns for a stick of gum. Cooper, predictably, has done exceptionally well for the Browns while the guy the Cowboys tried to replace him with -- Michael Gallup -- was cut before his new contract expired.

It's been one disappointment after another at receiver in Dallas as this team has been on the "trial and error" path. Veteran Brandin Cooks was acquired last year and did better as the season went along, but this is a massive offseason for former third-round pick Jalen Tolbert. It's one of those "you-know-what or get off the pot" kinds of offseasons.

For the last couple of years, Tolbert's talent and potential have been discussed at length with nothing to show for it on the field. He played nearly 500 offensive snaps last year with just 22 receptions. In his third NFL season now, Tolbert has to prove he's ready to take the next step, or the Cowboys could finally move on officially.
