Dallas deserves credit for being able to address their offensive line issues with essentially one draft pick. They entered the 2024 NFL Draft with the 24th overall selection in Round 1 which everyone knew needed to be used to add an offensive lineman — with tackle and center standing out as their glaring needs. The Cowboys decided to trade back and add more capital, which allowed them to address both spots.

The Detroit Lions sent them the 29th and 73rd pick in the draft, which was a huge win for the Dallas front office. At No. 29, they selected Oklahoma's Tyler Guyton who projects as their starting left tackle. They followed up that selection with Marshawn Kneeland in Round 2, adding more talent to their defensive line.

Once they were back on the clock with the second pick Detroit sent them, the Cowboys took Cooper Beebe. A guard for Kansas State, Beebe is going to try his hand at center. There's no reason to think he can't handle the job but if for some reason he struggles, the options behind him are limited.

Brock Hoffman is the only other center on the depth chart and while he wasn't bad in his two starts last year, he's far from a sure thing. That's why it would make sense to bring in someone with more experience, which could be Mason Cole.

A third-round pick in 2018, Cole has played for three different teams and was a starter at each stop. In six seasons, he has 94 games played and 73 starts including 34 over the past two years with the Pittsburgh Steelers. If added, he wouldn't break the bank to add and could be a solid emergency plan.
