For the past 11 seasons, David Bakhtiari has been with the Green Bay Packers and he's had a lot of success. He went from being a mid-round pick to one of the best players at his position. The blindside protector made the All-Pro Team five years in a row from 2016 through 2020 and had three Pro Bowl nods during that same span.

Unfortunately, injuries started to cause him issues in recent years. A torn ACL suffered at the end of 2020 led to him missing all but one game that year. Knee issues continued to bother him as he missed six games in 2022 and then suited up for just one in 2023.

Green Bay decided to release the starting left tackle ahead of this season, which is understandable. While he's still working his way back to health, Bakhtiari is reportedly on track to play in 2024 and the Cowboys are one of the teams he's been linked to.

Dallas hasn't shown any interest but the dots have been connected anyway. Bakhtiari spent several years playing for Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys could use a veteran left tackle. Tyler Guyton is the long-term answer but if he's not ready to play after limited experience on the left side at Oklahoma, the offense will struggle.

Bakhtiari is a gamble due to his knee injury but the presence of Guyton means Dallas could afford to roll the dice.
