Sport DFW's Best Dallas Betting Picks for 7/22 (Bats Go Quiet After Friday's High-Scoring Affair)
Though preseason for the Cowboys and Mavericks is drawing closer, the sports world's focus right now is on summer baseball. It's an exciting time for the Rangers, who are currenly first in the AL West and could make a serious splash at the trade deadline.
Friday didn't go well for Texas, though, as the team was on the wrong side of a high-scoring affair. I think things could go the other way tonight, however.
With that in mind, here's my best Dallas betting pick for July 22.
Dallas Best Bets: July 22, 2023
Isaiah De Los Santos: UNDER Rangers-Dodgers Run Total
Friday featured plenty of fireworks at Globe Life Field, but it was much more explosive for Los Angeles, unfortunately. The Dodgers torched the Rangers for 11 runs, seven of which came during just the last three innings as Texas' bullpen blew a 5-4 lead.
LA should have a much tougher time on Saturday against Dane Dunning. The 28-year-old has been a great surprise for Texas during the 2023 campaign, posting a career-best 2.82 ERA over 21 appearances and 13 starts. Last time fans saw him, Dunning kept the explosive Rays' offense in check, holding them to just two runs over 7.0 innings.
The Dogers will counter with Bobby Miller, who's been a mixed bag as of late. However, I'm more concerned about the Rangers' offense due to Corey Seager's new injury. The star shortstop injured himself after sliding headfirst into second base during the sixth inning and needed to be removed in the eighth. Though X-rays were negative, it'd be no surprise if Texas takes extreme caution with the stud and sits him tonight.
Given all of this, I like the under in tonight's contest. Make sure to check out FanDuel Sportsbook if you're interested in wagering on Rangers-Dodgers. New users will unlock an exclusive promo that pays out $100 in bonus bets, win or lose! Sign up through SportDFW's link below:
