Things aren't looking good in Dallas right now. After three weeks, the Cowboys are 1-2 and have dropped two straight games at home.

They haven't looked prepared to play, as they were down three possessions in consecutive weeks. Dallas' roster has key playmakers all over but it's not translating to production on the field.

Instead, they don't look like a team with Super Bowl aspirations rolling into 2024. People are starting to look around the organization and point fingers. Mike McCarthy is on the hot seat and Bill Belichick's comments show he has his eyes on the potential job in Dallas that could soon become available.

Cowboys News: Bill Belichick Says Dallas' Problems Are Correctable

Belichick was doing his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee show and said he believes the problems that Dallas is experiencing are correctable.

"This is the same thing they ran into last year. … Look, the draft is over, free agency is over, I wouldn’t expect a lot of big trades here. I think there’s enough talent in Dallas to get things straightened out. But they got to look in the mirror and look each other in the eye and say we’re gonna do it."

He's right though. The Cowboys won't be able to make any significant moves that would drastically change this team. They need to step up and start playing better.

His statements also make it appear that he has eyes on the Cowboys' job. Dallas didn't extend McCarthy on purpose this offseason, clearly showing they don't have much faith in him.

We all know Jerry Jones loves to catch the attention of news cycles. What would take over more than Belichick becoming the lead man in Dallas?

Belichick acknowledges the roster is talented and they have the answers to all their problems. That means it comes back to coaching to get that out of them. And we know that he believes he would get the most out of these guys.

We'll have to see how things continue to unfold in Dallas during the 2024 campaign. For McCarthy's sake, the Cowboys need to start winning games or he'll be without a job sooner rather than later.
