The pressure is on for the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. After securing a win in Week 1, the Cowboys have dropped two straight games and are now 1-2.

They will travel and play the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football. You never want to say it's a must-win game in Week 4, but the Cowboys badly need this win to avoid falling to 1-3 on the year.

The defense has had its fair share of difficulties through the first three games of the season, and they could be without a defender in the Thursday Night Football showdown.

Cowboys News: Markquese Bell Will Be Questionable for Week 4

Mike McCarthy spoke with the media on Tuesday afternoon, and he revealed that safety Markquese Bell is dealing with an ankle injury and will be a game-time decision.

McCarthy also added that rookie cornerback Caelan Carson (shoulder) is closer to playing than Bell.

Both players didn't participate in Monday's walkthrough but it sounds like Bell may not be available for the Boys.

Bell is a backup behind safeties Donovan Wilson and Malik Hooker but hasn't played much this season, logging just nine snaps.

Despite his slow start, the Florida A&M product showcased he's able to be a productive defender in this league. In 25 games with the Cowboys, Bell has recorded 97 total tackles, two forced fumbles, and four pass breakups.

It being a short week also plays into why it could be difficult for Bell to suit up.

Regardless, the Cowboys must find a way to beat their divisional rival in New York. Dallas has beaten the Giants six straight times, dating back to 2021. That's a huge reason the Cowboys opened up 5.5-point favorites over the Giants, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
