Cowboys Fans Furious Over New Micah Parsons Rumor
Linebacker Micah Parsons has quickly developed into one of the most impactful defenders in the league in just three quick years. The former Penn State standout consistently wreaks havoc and puts opposing quarterbacks under duress.
Parsons became the fifth player in NFL History to record 40-plus sacks in his first three years (40.5), joining Hall of Famers Reggie White (52), Derrick Thomas (43.5), and Dwight Freeney (40) as well as Aldon Smith (42).
The 25-year superstar is now eligible for a contract extension and will look to earn an annual salary of $34 million plus a year, which is what the highest-paid edge rusher Nick Bosa receives. He's certainly one of the best pass rushers in the league and wants to be paid accordingly but there has been a new rumor regarding Parsons that has come out.
Shan Shariff of 105.3 The Fan has spoken to people inside the Cowboys organization and he said some people are starting to wear thin on Parsons.
"I've heard from way too many people this offseason. I'm talking about at least four different people (have told me) that Micah has worn thin there. I don't know how much is true and how much it actually hurts (his reputation). I don't know whether this is the behavior of a typical superstar. I don't how damaging it is. But all I do know is this - I've heard from way too many people that if Micah Parsons was out of there, there would be a decent amount of people inside the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco smiling or breathing a sigh of relief."

These are some alarming comments if they are true. Parsons is one of the most impactful playmakers on the field and many Cowboy fans are unhappy with the rumor.
Many believe this is typical Jerry Jones fashion to have a story like this come out when a player enters contract negotiations. Others are saying they love Parsons and want him to be in Dallas for the long haul.
All I know is if this rumor is true, the Cowboys are going to be in deep trouble. Drafting and paying your own productive players is how the good teams around the league sustain success. Not giving them away because they are "worn out".
