Jourdan Lewis

There was no chance Jourdan Lewis was going to get an extension this offseason while working his way back from a brutal Lisfranc foot injury, and that really shortens the window to negotiate ahead of his impending free agency.

Lewis is on track to return early in 2023 though, which means we should get a nice long look at whether the injury has any long-term impact on his play.

Having finally made his way into the lineup as a weekly starter in 2020 and 2021, Lewis was on the way to securing a pay raise before the injury, but that's obviously in jeopardy now.

Lewis was a late bloomer, and even that "bloom" wasn't as a star, but rather as a consistent "solid enough" kind of starter. So now coming back from a serious injury at 28 years old, he could find himself being forced to sign a one-year "prove it" type deal this offseason before getting a shot at another long-term contract.
