3. Nahshon Wright

Shifting over to the defense, Nahshon Wright is one player that I see cracking the 53-man roster despite the odds saying otherwise.

The former 2021 third-round still hasn't found his footing in the NFL, only starting in three of his 20 appearances over the last two seasons. While some players would get discouraged by that experience, the 24-year-old has used it as motivation to shine throughout training camp.

Wright has displayed solid coverage skills during practice and even managed to pick off Dak Prescott a couple of times over the last few weeks.

It'd be a beautiful scenario if Wright finally realizes his potential. At 6-foot-4, he has the perfect height to cover most wide receivers. All he needs is the mental fortitude to show that he can handle being an everyday player.

There's obviously a difference between training camp drills and a real game, but Wright's performance deserves acknowledgment.

If he replicates that success during the preseason, it'd be hard for Cowboys fans not to love a three-head monster of Wright, Diggs, and Stephon Gilmore.
