The Dallas Cowboys roll into 2024 as one of the teams with the most pressure in the league. Despite going 12-5 and winning the NFC East in 2023, the Cowboys were bounced in the Wild Card round to the Green Bay Packers.

Throughout the offseason, the Cowboys didn't make any major moves to improve the roster. They have let Tyron Smith, Tony Pollard, Tyler Biadasz, among others, skip town and that trend continued on April 29.

Cowboys News: Michael Gallup Has A New Home For 2024

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Michael Gallup and the Las Vegas Raiders agreed to a one-year, $3 million deal.

Gallup was a 2018 third-round pick by the Cowboys. In six seasons with Dallas, the Colorado State product snagged 266 receptions for 3,744 receiving yards, and 21 touchdowns.

Now he won't be in the Lone Star state which adds another hole to the roster with the contract talks looming with CeeDee Lamb.

Dallas has Lamb's extension hanging over their head but they don't seem to be in a rush to get it done. That may be a very costly move as other WRs around the league like Detroit's Amon-Ra St. Brown and Philadelphia's A.J. Brown inked mega extensions before the NFL Draft.

Can't forget about other studs like Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase who will continue to drive up the market.

With all this uncertainty surrounding Lamb, Dallas could have resigned Gallup for the low-cost deal he got with the Raiders.

He has familiarity with the team and the offense so it would have been a smart decision. Regardless of that, Dallas decided to let him walk.
