The Dallas Cowboys have been heavily discussed this offseason as they roll into a pressure-filled 2024 campaign.

Last season ended in utter disappointment after the Cowboys lost to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round.

The focus shifted over the offseason, where Dallas was extremely quiet. They let the likes of Tyron Smith, Tony Pollard, and Tyler Biadasz leave in free agency.

With all these departures, fans wanted the team to be aggressive to upgrade the roster but they decided not to. The latest news will only upset the fanbase even more.

Cowboys News: Dallas Denies Report They Are Interested in Pittsburgh Najee Harris

There have been rumors circulating that the Cowboys had an interest in trading for Pittsburgh's RB Najee Harris but Dallas quickly shut down that rumor.

NFL Network's Jane Slater posted on Twitter that a team source told her these reports were click bait.

That will annoy the fanbase as they would certainly love to have Harris join the team. The Cowboys signed RB Ezekiel Elliott to a one-year deal on April 29, making him the lead tailback.

Even though they are happy to have Elliott back, his best days look to be behind him.

As for Harris, he's entering the prime years of his career. The Steelers decided to decline his fifth-year option but that doesn't mean he's not a productive playmaker.

The Alabama product is a power runner who has soft hands coming out of the backfield. In three seasons in the NFL, he recorded 3,269 rushing yards, 866 receiving yards, and 28 total touchdowns. Additionally, he went over 1,000 rushing yards in all three campaigns.

The addition of Harris would have transformed the Cowboys' ground attack but it sounds like they aren't interested. And that might be a massive mistake.
