Cowboys Reveal Celebrity Halftime Performer for 2023 Thanksgiving Game
By Tyler Maher
Thanksgiving is still over a month away, but it's never to early to start thinking about Turkey Day. That's especially true for football fans and Dallas Cowboys fans in particular. Not only is the Cowboys' Thanksgiving game an annual tradition, but it's also one of their biggest games of the year.
With so many eyeballs on Dallas' nationally televised game, there is usually a celebrity musical guest at the halftime show. While not as prestigious as the Super Bowl halftime show, it's still a pretty big deal.
On Monday, the performer for this year's Thanksgiving game was finally revealed.
Dolly Parton Halftime Show
Country music legend Dolly Parton will perform during halftime of the Thanksgiving Day game between the Cowboys and the Washington Commanders. This Week 12 NFC East showdown will take place on Thursday, Nov. 23 at AT&T Stadium and kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET, which means Parton will likely take the stage around 5:30 or 6 p.m. ET.
Parton, of course, needs no introduction. The 77-year-old is one of the most famous musicians ever and has been performing for over 50 years. She's sold more than 100 million records worldwide, has set numerous records and is an 11-time Grammy winner. That's a Hall of Fame resume, to say the least.
The Thanksgiving Day show is a coveted act that has drawn some massive names recently. The Jonas Brothers performed last year and were preceded by major country stars like Luke Combs (2021), Kane Brown (2020), Thomas Rhett (2017), Luke Bryan (2015) and others.
Regardless of whether you're a football fan or not, fans of Parton's music will surely want to tune in on Thanksgiving to see her live performance.
